The submission window for our annual federal appropriations process has opened. Faculty from across the institution are invited to participate in the process
Resources continue to be limited across all government agencies, and New Hampshire is about to experience leadership changes, committee reassignments, and new Members of the congressional delegation in the House and Senate. These changes will likely limit the number of projects we submit for consideration. Nevertheless, we invite your creative ideas and contributions that you believe best align with the strategic direction of your college, unit, and department and UNH’s strategic plan.
Following review of the submissions, university leadership, with input from the college deans and center/school directors, will finalize the university’s FY 2028 appropriations requests to be submitted to the New Hampshire congressional delegation in early 2027.
We look forward to reviewing your submissions and together moving towards another successful appropriations cycle.

This form is designed to capture your project proposal and it impact to the state and beyond.
For additional information on this year’s annual appropriations process and best practices for creating appropriations requests, we will be hosting an info session in conjunction with Lewis-Burke Associates, our federal affairs firm. This virtual meeting will be an opportunity to meet the Lewis-Burke team and learn more about this year’s UNH request process and what types of funding requests are most appropriate for the appropriations process.
