Intent to Submit a Proposal

The Intent to Submit a Proposal Form  is a tool used by Sponsored Programs Administration’s Pre-Award Compliance (PAC) unit  to collect data and prepare proactively for budget preparation and general assistance before an application for external funding is submitted. Our goal is to support the Principal Investigator (PI) throughout the pre-award process up to the proposal submission. Therefore, the form should be submitted 20 business days before the due date. It is understood that some information might be tentative and can be updated after the form is submitted. Timely submission of this form enables the Pre-Award Compliance team to better support you.

Before submitting this form, please review the Investigator Eligibility Guidelines and obtain Investigator Approval if an exception is needed. Proposals cannot be submitted without Investigator approval.

Please note that PAC requires the full proposal for review five business days before the deadline. While our office will support the PI, submitting the proposal with less time will not allow for a full review and may risk the proposal not being submitted.

Exceptions: We understand that Investigators may receive last-minute requests for proposals from Sponsors.  We will do our best to accommodate these exception requests.
