Emergency Action & Fire Prevention

Emergencies can happen at any time and can be associated with many different situations.  From fires, medical emergencies, building threats, hazardous chemical releases, and acts of nature, implementing the appropriate response action in a timely manner can not only prevent injuries, but can save lives.  UNH has developed its Emergency Procedures Program to outline those specific procedures to be use in the event of an emergency.

In addition to following the appropriate procedures, fire prevention is a key element in reducing risks associated with potential fire hazards.  Once started, a fire can spread out of control in the matter of seconds, by practicing good preventive measures we can eliminate the need to implement the emergency procedures as it relates to fire emergencies.
