  • Center for Acoustics Research and Education (CARE)Focuses on how sound can be used on land, in air, and under water to monitor and assess impacts relating to national security concerns, food security, energy, environment, and health

  • Center for Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Innovation (CAMMI)Provides an environment for researchers (faculty, industrial partners, graduate and undergraduate students) to work collectively to (1) develop the next generation of advanced materials and manufacturing innovations through fundamental and applied R&D efforts, and (2) solve technical challenges in the fabrication of high-technology products

  • Center for Coastal & Ocean Mapping (CCOM)/NOAA Joint Hydrographic Center (JHC)A NOAA-supported national center of expertise in the fields of coastal hydrography and advanced coastal ocean mapping  that fosters a new generation of hydrographers and ocean mapping scientists and develops and evaluates a wide range of state-of-the-art hydrographic and ocean mapping technologies and applications

  • Center for Fluid Physics (CFP)Collaborative, cross-disciplinary research employing analytical, modeling and experimental studies to develop a fundemental understanding of the processes underlying complex fluid dynamical problems

  • Center for Freshwater Biology (CFB)Promotes training, research and outreach activities in freshwater systems in NH, regionally and globally

  • Child Study and Development Center (CSDC)A nationally-accredited laboratory school serving young children (infants-kindergarten) that serves as a site for faculty and students to conduct interdiciplinary studies of early childhood education and development

  • Coastal Response Research Center (CRRC)Partnership between NOAA and UNH that stimulates innovation in spill preparedness, response, assessment, and implementation of optimum spill recovery strategies

  • Crimes Against Children Research Center (CCRC)Combats crimes against children by providing high quality research and statistics to the pubic, policy makers, law enforcement personnel, and other child welfare practitioners regarding the nature and impact of crimes such as child abduction, homicide, rape, assault, physical and sexual abuse, and Internet sex crimes

  • Earth Systems Research CenterBrings together ecologists, environmental chemists, Earth system modelers, and remote sensing scientists to study natural and human-induced changes in the Earth's water, carbon, and nitrogen metabolism with research and educational programs that cross the boundaries of traditional scientific disciplines to foster interdisciplinary understanding of environmental change

  • NH Center for Multiscale Modeling and Manufacturing of Biomaterials (NH BioMade)Seeks to advance the design and manufacture of biomaterials and develop the knowledge to predict and control their composition, structure, properties, and function. The depth of knowledge and engineering innovations advanced by NH BioMade will be transferable to other biomaterials and manufacturing techniques for fundamental and industrially-based research and practice.

  • Northeast PassageResearch focused on the efficacy of the goal based recreational therapy interventions offered, including therapeutic recreation services in school systems, and 1:1 community based interventions for individuals with acquired physical disabilities and those aging into and with disability

  • Ocean Process Analysis Lab (OPAL)Serves as a focal point for interdisciplinary ocean science research focusing on a range of physical, geochemical, and biological processes including bio-optical oceanography and remote sensing, molecular oceanography, fish behavior and gear technology, plankton ecology and fisheries oceanography, physical oceanography, and estuarine and coastal chemistry

  • Outdoor Behavioral Healthcare (OBH) CenterAdvances the Outdoor Behavioral Healthcare field through the development of best practices, effective treatments, and evidenced-based research

  • Paul Creative Arts Center (PCAC)A center for the creation, study, and enjoyment of the arts that houses a 688-seat proscenium theater, a flexible-seating black box theater, a recital room, and a 4,500 square foot art museum

  • Piscataqua Region Estuaries Partnership (PREP)As part of the U.S. EPA's National Estuary Program, a joint local/state/federal program established under the Clean Water Act to promote the protection and enhancement of nationally significant estuarine resources, PREP’s priorities include water quality improvements, shellfish resources, land protection and habitat restoration

  • Prevention Innovations Research Center (PIRC)Works to improve institutional policy, practice, and capacity for sexual and relationship violence and stalking prevention and response (prevention strategies, survivor support and services, and intervention) through research and evaluation, emphasizing the importance of using a community and bystander focus while examining the continuum of violence
