Social Wellness

Social Wellness is building and engaging in trusting, respectful, and authentic relationships.

It’s less about having lots of connections and more about having supportive people in your life who contribute to your growth.

5 choices you can make to enhance your social wellness

  1. Putting effort into building your social wellness.
  2. Getting involved on campus by joining student organizations, intramural sports, or attending residence hall socials—just a few ways to connect.
  3. Ending relationships that no longer contribute to your well‑being, including friendships. After ending a relationship, giving yourself time and space to grieve.
  4. Balancing alone time and social time. Well‑being comes from having a relationship with yourself and with others.
  5. Treating others with the same compassion, respect, and trust that you want to receive.
