Important Information
Any test tubes from December 2022 or earlier have expired. Please discard them in the trash. Labels, plastic bags and swabs from fall 2022 can continue to be used through the spring 2023 semester.
You can pick up new test tubes at the COVID Clinic at Health and Wellness, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday-Friday (excluding university holidays). Please see winter break closures for the COVID Clinic at Health & Wellness below.
Spring 2023 Arrival Testing
All faculty, staff and students in the UNH Durham community are required to take a COVID test in January. You must either submit a labeled PCR test in a UNH COVID drop box or upload the results of a third-party PCR or home rapid test here. If you tested positive in the past 90 days, you should use a rapid test.
It is strongly encouraged that you take this test 24 hours prior to departing for campus. If you do not test at home before arrival, we recommend testing within 24 hours of arriving on campus. Any PCR or Rapid Antigen test can be used for this mandatory arrival test. If you are faculty, staff or a student who is already on campus prior to the first week of classes please test the week prior to help manage the lab’s workflow.
If you did not take a test at home prior to arrival testing supplies can be found in the following locations:
- Replacement test tubes will be available in your residence hall and at Health & Wellness
- Rapid tests, new PCR testing kits and replacement labels are available at Health & Wellness, 9 a.m.-4p.m, Monday–Friday
- UNH Police Department is open 24/7 for after-hours accommodation of rapid tests or PCR kits (no labels), email COVID@unh.edu if you need this accommodation.

Masks are not required in indoor campus spaces. Masks are still required in health care facilities, as part of regular PPE in labs and for individuals who were recently in isolation or quarantine and need to mask for 10 days.
On-Campus Testing
We built a state-of-the-art lab to manage testing and results from our Durham, Manchester and Concord campuses. Together we made testing a simple, routine and effective way to keep everyone safe and our campuses open.
