USNH offers additional voluntary insurance plans for benefits eligible employees

Accident Insurance

Financial protection in case of a covered accident.  Provides a benefit if you undergo testing or receive medical services, treatment, or care. Employees can view the plan details under the Library in your MyBenefits.usnh account.

Critical Care Insurance

Financial protection in case of a covered illness, including cancer, heart attack, stroke, and Alzheimer’s disease. Employees can view the plan details under the Library in your MyBenefits.usnh account.

Hospital Indemnity Plan

Provided through MetLife, can help ease the financial impact of a hospitalization.  Works with your other medical coverage to help pay for out-of-pocket expenses that result from a hospital stay. Legal Assistance

Connects you with a network of attorneys who can represent you for a variety of personal legal matters like power of attorney, deeds, will preparation, and more. Employees can view the plan details under the Library in your MyBenefits.usnh account. 

LinkedIn Learning

USNH Faculty & Staff (benefits eligible only ) have access to a FREE USNH organizational account with LinkedIn Learning - an on-demand, online learning solution designed to help employees gain new skills and advance their career. This resource supports professional development at no cost to eligible employees, and is available 24/7 using your UNH/USNH single sign-on.

Long-Term Care Insurance

Genworth Life Insurance Company (Genworth Life) is the provider for USNH employees enrolling in Long-Term Care Insurance. 

Newly-hired, full-time benefit-eligible employees age 65 and younger have 31 days to enroll in the plan after they become benefit-eligible to take advantage of a streamlined application process with reduced medical underwriting.  Employees who are age 66 and older will need to go through full medical underwriting.

Short-Term Disability Insurance

For employees not covered under UTime, Voluntary Short-term disability insurance provides income protection for qualified absences due to non-work related injury or illness for up to 26 weeks (includes maternity leave). Unique College Investing Plan / 529

The UNIQUE College Investing Plan is New Hampshire's tax-advantaged 529 college savings plan, open to both residents and nonresidents. The plan is sponsored by the state of New Hampshire and managed by Fidelity Investments.

Voluntary Vision Plan

VSP is the provider for USNH employees enrolling in the Voluntary Vision Plan.  Employees can view the vision plan details under the Library in your MyBenefits.usnh account.  Rate sheets for this voluntary benefit are available on the USNH Benefits site.
