USNH offers additional voluntary insurance plans for benefits eligible employees

Life Insurance & Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D)

Additional life and AD&D insurance may be purchased by employees for themselves and/or family members.  Contact Human Resources at HR.Benefits@unh.edu for application materials. 

Short-Term Disability Insurance

Short-term disability insurance provides income protection for qualified absences due to non-work related injury or illness for up to 26 weeks (includes maternity leave). For more information and any plan criteria, please view the Plan brochure.

Long-Term Care Insurance

Genworth Life Insurance Company (Genworth Life) is the provider for USNH employees enrolling in a Voluntary Group Long Term Care Insurance Program.

New hire benefits eligible employees have the opportunity to enroll (depending on age and the plan they choose) for coverage during their first 31 days of employment without having to provide proof of good health.

Spouses and family members are also eligible to apply with medical underwriting up through age 79 and are welcome to view the information and apply on the website at www.genworth.com/groupltc.  Please call 800-416-3624 to request a free information kit.

Voluntary Vision Plan

VSP is the provider for USNH employees enrolling in the Voluntary Vision Plan.

Employees can view the vision plan summary sheet and then choose to enroll as a new hire or during annual open enrollment only.
