Annual Earned Time Cash-Out

annual voluntary program during Open Enrollment timeframe for Operating staff (hourly paid) employees only


Each year during Open Enrollment, hourly paid (non-exempt) employees not covered by a CBA,  have the ability to request a voluntary cash-out of up to 80 hours of their Earned Time (ET) balances once a year during open enrollment for payout in the new tax year (January).

2021 Program Details:

  • Up to 80 hours of accrued ET (equivalent to 10 days of paid leave based on the employee's work week) can be requested for cash-out per calendar year.
  • The ET cash-out request form must be completed, signed and received by HR Services at 2LL ( by November 19, 2021.
  • The cash out payment must be voluntary and will be based on the hourly rate in effect on December 31, 2021.
  • Payment will be received in the January 14, 2022 paycheck.
