UNH Launches New Reporting Tool for Incidents of Bias, Discrimination and Harassment

Tuesday, February 23, 2021

Dear Faculty, Staff and Students—

We are writing to follow up with additional information about the university’s new comprehensive system for the reporting of all incidents of discrimination and discriminatory harassment, bias, hate, retaliation, bullying and sexual harassment and/or violence that involves any member of the university community. We heard your concerns about the current tools, especially how incidents of racism were handled, and are confident this new Incident Report Form (IRF) will streamline the reporting process and improve follow-up with impacted parties, including those who report anonymously.

The IRF will replace our outdated tools—ReportIt! and the Title IX Incident Report form—and is for faculty, staff and students on all three campuses, including mandatory reporters. It is user friendly, easy to navigate and compatible with mobile devices, allowing users to upload documents, text messages, photos and videos as well as access additional information and related university policies and procedures. Perhaps most important for many members of our community is the ability to follow up after the initial report is made. Anyone who makes a report can create a password to receive updates and upload additional information anonymously.

To learn more about this new tool and how it will work on our campuses please review this FAQ document.
