Engelhardt Hall

Engelhardt Hall
Engelhardt Hall

Engelhardt is a small hall on campus, making it easy to get to know everyone in the building. This hall is home to students with a variety of interests, hobbies and academic majors. Residents commit to keeping the hall free of alcohol and other drugs. With this common bond, you will find it easy to form friendships and call Engelhardt home. Engelhardt is part of the three lower quad halls of Hunter, Gibbs and Engelhardt.  Located just steps away from downtown, Memorial Union Building, and Holloway Commons, students are close to all campus activities and events.  With study lounges, inside bike storage and an involved community of residents, Engelhardt is an awesome place to experience life at UNH!

The first floor of Engelhardt offers a gender inclusive restroom.

Building Floor Plans

June, 1947

Dedicated 14 June 1947. Named in honor of Fred Engelhardt, UNH's President from 1937 to 1944.

Welcome to a respectful community of students with a variety of interests, hobbies, and academic majors. Residents of Engelhardt commit to keeping their hall free of alcohol and other drugs. With this common bond, our students find it easy to make friends and become active members of our hall.

Students choose to live in Engelhardt for a variety of reasons. Once they are here, they say the active community and family feel is what keeps them in the hall from one year to the next. Due to our alcohol and drug-free themed living, our building typically stays clean and residents are respectful to one another as well as focused on their academics.

Residents can be found hanging out in the lounges or in their rooms with the door open. Students often refer to Engelhardt, or E-hardt, as home, which explains why we have a mix of first-year students through seniors who love living here.
