Program and Event Management at University of New Hampshire
Why did you choose to become a Hall Director?
I chose to become a hall director because I know and have seen the positive impact that RHDs can have on a student. I look forward to this work because I want to provide services, programs, and resources that can help students learn, grow, and develop outside of the classroom. As a student leader during my undergraduate career, many Student Affairs professionals developed, supported, and helped me grow along the way. I would love the opportunity to do that for others.
Why did you choose to work for Res Life at the University of New Hampshire?
I am an alumnus of the University of New Hampshire. It has given me so many great opportunities in my life along with some challenges. I want to take all of my experiences and knowledge into a department that will both challenge me, and I will also challenge them. The Res Life department here at UNH seemed to be the perfect place for me. This department has proven to work towards the development of students in all different types of ways, and I knew that I would enjoy being a part of that process and supporting students and giving back to UNH.
What advice would you give to students?
The advice I would give to students is college is the time for you to learn who you want to be. Take that time to process and lean on the multiple staff and facility members that are here to help. Always ask for help even when you feel like you can’t.
