Why did you choose to become a hall director?

I spent 3 years working in Residential Life during my undergrad and it was my favorite part of my entire college experience! I am so passionate about the work that Hall Directors get to do and everything they have to offer to students, the residence halls, and to campus as a whole. I want to continue building community and acting as a resource to students to help them thrive on their own college journey.

Why did you choose to work at Res Life at UNH?

I knew that I wanted to be a Hall Director, but I chose to work in Res Life at UNH because this school has so much to offer both its students and its staff. I already hold a lot of love for my alma mater, but the emphasis that UNH places on community and continual learning drew me to continue my time here.

What advice would you give to students?

My biggest piece of advice would be to take advantage of all the different opportunities that exist on campus – go to the events, join the clubs, utilize the different services and resources, find a job that aligns with your interests and goals. Getting involved is the easiest way to make connections and gain valuable experience for life both now and post college. Plus, it’s free! If you have any questions about what these opportunities are, just ask your Hall Director.
