UNH requires anyone driving a university vehicle or a rental vehicle for a university purpose to complete an approved defensive driving course prior to driving.  UNH employees and students may register for the online course using the form below.

Members of the general public, or anyone interested in taking the DDC for license point reduction or any other reason may inquire about live defensive driving courses by contacting the National Safety & Health Council, (800) 864-6472.

Please indicate your UNH departmental supervisor.
Check if you are taking Defensive Driving in order to operate university vehicles as part of your employment.
Employees taking Defensive Driving to operate University vehicles must also complete a Motor Vehicle record background check.

  • Those licensed in New Hampshire: Access and complete a NEW HAMPSHIRE MOTOR VEHICLE RECORDS RELEASE FORM.
  • Out of state employees, contact your state's Motor Vehicles division for a release form.
  • Forward your completed DMV form and direct any questions to your supervisor (not to UNH Transportation).
