Kaltura (and Canvas)
Kaltura is a service that provides tools for hosting and delivering media. This includes lecture capture, uploading video files (Zoom recordings, PowerPoint narratives, etc.,.), sharing videos and lectures with colleagues, and collecting video from students. It is integrated with Canvas/myCourses and other UNH tools. Since it is a UNH secure location and integrated with myCourses, it is the preferred video hosting environment.
Possible Applications of Kaltura
- Recording lecture videos
- Hosting large media files like PowerPoint narratives or Zoom recordings that will otherwise consume all your Canvas course quota
- Student presentations
Enabling Kaltura
You need to access Kaltura from My Media. If you don't see My Media in your course menu, click on Settings->Navigation, then move My Media to the upper part of the navigation and click Save so it will appear in the course menu.
