Why did you choose to work for Housing at UNH?
I chose to work for Housing at UNH because I love building community and helping students feel at home. As a former Resident Assistant during my undergraduate career, I have seen firsthand how impactful it is to create a positive living community for students. Additionally, as someone with a sibling who lived at and attended UNH I already knew that this was a school with a welcoming community where students can thrive. By joining the Housing team at UNH I can play a direct role in creating this welcoming community and sense of home for others—which is work that is very special and meaningful to me.
What advice would you give to students?
Don’t be afraid to try new things. College is an opportunity to learn more about yourself, and taking every opportunity that comes your way is the best way you can do that. Whether that's joining a club or attending a CA social program, don’t be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone and broaden your social circle. Don’t forget to appreciate every minute (even finals weeks!) four years fly by!
