UNH Global Undergraduate Education Abroad & Diversity Abroad Awards

The purpose of these awards is to assist UNH undergraduate students cover additional costs that come with study abroad or an international experience (Internship, Volunteer, Research program).

There are a variety of general undergraduate scholarships but a few have specific eligibility requirements, such as:

  • The Foley-Jackson award provides $5000 in financial assistance to students at the sophomore level and above and will be studying abroad for a semester or academic year.
  • The Yale Maria Fund supports Middle East studies.

To apply for a UNH Global Undergraduate Education Abroad Award, complete the application below that corresponds to the term(s) in which you will be applying for education abroad. All completed applications should be hand delivered to Conant Hall 310, by the deadlines listed.


The UNH Global Diversity Abroad Award aims to provide financial support for under-represented students to study abroad or do an international exerience (Internship, Volunteer, Research.)  The Global Education Center will award one scholarship in the fall and one in the spring.

Regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, economic background and ability, education abroad is for all UNH students, including those in under-represented majors, such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and health. 

Take note that by completing the Diversity Abroad Award application you may be considered for other UNH Global awards, including the Foley Jackson Scholarship, if you are not selected for a Diversity Award.  Therefore, there is no need to also complete the general UNH Global Undergraduate Education Abroad Scholarship Application.
