UNH Global Undergraduate Education Abroad Awards

The purpose of these awards is to assist UNH undergraduate students cover additional costs that come with study abroad/away (NSE Canada only) or an international experience (Internship, Volunteer, Research program).

There are a variety of general undergraduate awards but a few have specific eligibility requirements, such as:

  • Diversity Abroad - supports under-represented students to study/intern/research abroad.  Preference will be given to a student doing an education abroad experience for the first time.
  • Foley-Jackson - provides $5000 in financial assistance to students at the sophomore level and above and will be studying abroad for a semester or academic year.
  • Yale Maria - supports students studying abroad in the Middle East.

There are two competitions for these awards, the Fall 2022 competition for students going abroad in January term 2023, spring break 2023 and spring 2023.

The Spring 2023 competition is for students going abroad in Summer 2023, Fall 2023 and academic year 2023-2024.

There is one application form for each competition - Make sure to submit an application for the correct competition deadline:

Fall competition, Friday September 30, 2022 at noon.  Application has closed.

Spring competition, Friday March 10, 2023 at noon.

*Take note that you cannot save changes in the application and come back to it.  We recommend that for the long answer questions that you write these in a word document, copy and paste your answers into the application so that you can submit it at one time.
