Academic Mentors

What is an Academic Mentor?

Academic Mentors (AMs) are undergraduate students with valuable experience and specialized training to coach their peers on how to reach their academic goals.  Mentors work with students  to:

  • Start studying smarter, not harder

  • Develop a time management plan that works for you

  • Learn study strategies to improve exam grades

  • Tips for working online

  • Utilize course and online resource for a better understanding of course content

  • Identify study places on campus

  • Manage competing study priorities to minimize getting behind on work

  • Organize course material for effective study

  • Navigate Canvas/mycourses
