Could you imagine a world without access to REAL New England maple syrup?? Join Climate Action NH, LCV, the Sierra Club and the Union of Concerned Scientists for the annual Climate Impacts Maple Breakfast!
This year will feature special guest Andrew Chisholm. Andrew comes to us from Chisholm Maple Farm in Hampstead and serves as President of the NH Maple Producers Association. Additional guests will be announced soon and may include New Hampshire members of Congress and local elected officials.
Maple syrup production is a New Hampshire institution but the impacts of climate change are already affecting this economically and culturally important crop. Unless we act now, the maple syrup harvest will continue to be affected by climate change. Join local environmental groups and the UNH Sustainability Institute for this fun event, eat some pancakes and hear from local maple syrup producers, scientists, and elected officials about the impacts of a changing climate on the New Hampshire maple syrup industry. Celebrate the harvest and then take actions to protect this granite state delight!
The Climate Impacts Maple Breakfast is sponsored by the League of Conservation Voters, New Hampshire Sierra Club, and the Union of Concerned Scientists.
