What is the Student Sustainability Network?
Supported by the Sustainability Institute, the SSN welcomes all UNH students, from all majors. The network is an informal group of students connected by their passion, interest in, and curiosity about sustainability. You’ll get connected to other Wildcats through casual and fun events, information sharing, and networking with other students and alumni.
There are no requirements – you choose how you want to be involved! All students at UNH can participate, you just need to have an interest in getting involved in sustainability.

Monthly Sustainability Cafes
Cafes are designed by our student Network Coordinator Intern to connect students in a relaxed, casual atmosphere. Enjoy food together, good conversation on sustainability topics and do an activity, like creating dog toys out of old clothing fabric to donate to a local shelter, or making cookie ingredient jars to donate to UNH's Cats' Cupboard, our campus food pantry. Each month features a new theme and activity.
Weekly Sustainability Opportunities in Your Inbox
Get inspired each week! Students curate a wide range of sustainability related events (guest speakers, movies, etc.), internships (paid and for credit!), hands-on opportunities, courses, volunteering (waste audits, garden planting, etc.), clubs and other ways to get involved on campus and in our communities. You'll have lots to choose from, right in your inbox!

Curious about sustainability careers? Want to hear from UNH alumni actively doing this work? Each fall semester, we invite recent UNH grads whose careers involve sustainability in some way, back to campus to talk with you about their UNH experiences, career advice, and to answer your questions.

As you approach entering the world of work, in your junior year, you'll be invited to join our UNH Sustainability Alumni LinkedIn Group. It's made up of dedicated alumni who care about sustainability and are interested in mentoring or connecting with other UNH alums. We also share job and internship openings from our regional partner organizations, local events, and other networking opportunities so you can build a network before graduating.
