NH Food Alliance's Network Cafe Series: Protecting New Hampshire's Farmland

Friday, November 04, 2022 - noon to 1 p.m.

New Hampshire agriculture faces two complex truths: the number of farm operations in the state has been in steady decline since 2012 and the protection of and equitable access to agricultural lands is the foundation of a resilient local food system. During the November Network Cafe, the NH Food Alliance network will hear from leaders of New Hampshire’s conservation districts, conservation commissions, and land trusts on their organization’s process of protecting farmland and how they are ensuring equitable access to the land they are protecting. As a network of food system advocates, we will brainstorm how our individual work can align around these conservation efforts and how we can collaboratively protect and provide access to more of New Hampshire’s farmland.
