New Book Chapter - "The Dark Side of Sibling Relationships"

SAARA Director Corinna Jenkins Tucker and Assistant Director Tanya Rouleau Whitworth co-authored a chapter in the Handbook of the Psychology of Sibling Relationships. This new book was edited by Laurie Kramer, Nina Howe, and Brenda L. Volling, and includes contributions by leading sibling experts.

In our chapter, "The Dark Side of Sibling Relationships," we reviewed research and theory on sibling aggression and abuse and suggested future directions for research and implications for evidence-based practice. We also described our classification of harmful sibling behaviors, which is grounded in the idea that sibling aggression and abuse are forms of family violence.
