Visit your student at UNH and celebrate being part of the Wildcat Family! Family Weekend is a wonderful chance to explore campus and experience more of life at UNH through student performances, demonstrations, family friendly programming, and many sporting events.

What to Expect
The programming at Family Weekend changes each year and we are still building the 2026 schedule, but we have a few traditions that you can expect:
Friday Night Comedy Show- Performer to be announced soon
Wildcat Welcome Area- Hosted by UNH Parents Council, we encourage all attendees to stop by to grab a refreshment, pickup a Family Weekend souvenir, grab a photo with your student in our Photobooth, and enter in our yearly giveaway!
Pumpkin Painting- A UNH Family favorite! You and your student can paint wooden pumpkins that can be brought home or hung on the door of your residence hall room.
UNH Athletic Events- Saturday is UNH’s Football Game against William & Mary, tickets can be purchased through UNH Athletics

Yes, we encourage everyone to register. Registration helps us keep you informed about the schedule and provides you with a small UNH gift.
Most Family Weekend events are free! However, if you wish to attend the Wildcat Social (see schedule above), Men's Football, or Men's Hockey games, you will need to purchase tickets in advance.
No, Family Weekend is open to the parents and families of all students, not just those new to UNH.
Family Weekend will proceed rain or shine. Please check the weather and plan accordingly. Any schedule changes due to rain will be posted online.
No. Tickets to any Athletic events including the Football game and Tailgating must be purchased through Athletics.
Visitors are encouraged to park in B Lot beginning at 6:00 PM on Friday.
Campus will be busy throughout the weekend, so we recommend reviewing the UNH Campus Map to explore additional parking options in case B Lot reaches capacity.
- Alumni Lot is available until 3:00 PM on Saturday, but will be closed after that time.
- Metered lots are open and available for use at their designated fee. (Designated in blue on the Campus Map)
Please note: Tailgating parking is separate from general campus parking. If you purchased tailgating tickets, refer to the information provided by UNH Athletics for specific instructions.
