Kick off Family Weekend with fast-paced action as the Wildcats take on St Lawrence University at the Whittemore Center!

UNH Women's Field Hockey, 2:00pm | Memorial Field
Bring the energy to Memorial Field as UNH Women’s Field Hockey takes on UMass Lowell! Come cheer on the Wildcats for an afternoon of fast-paced action, Wildcat pride, and plenty of fall spirit.
Family Game Night- Sponsored by Wildcats for Recovery, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM | Memorial Union Building (MUB) Room 302
Gather your loved ones or a circle of friends (students are welcome to attend without family members) and roll the dice for an evening of laughter, connection, and friendly competition! Family Board Game Night is all about stepping away from screens and spending quality time together around the table. Whether you're solving mysteries, building Lego empires, or racing to the finish line, there's a game for everyone!
Expect moments of teamwork, unexpected twists, and lots of smiles as you dive into classic favorites or discover new games. Snacks, cozy vibes, and great company make it a night to remember. Details on the commedian coming soon! Doors open at 7 PM. This event has a maximum capacity of 600 attendees. Admission is first come, first served.

Hosted by UNH Parents Council, we encourage all attendees to stop by to grab a refreshment, pickup a Family Weekend souvenir, grab a photo with your student in our Photobooth (10 am - 12:45 pm), and enter in our yearly giveaway!

Capture the moment! Stop by our Family Weekend photo booth to snap a fun (and free!) keepsake with your student and family. Props and backdrops will be on hand so you can strike a pose, get silly, or go classic, your choice. Don’t miss this chance to make a memory you can take home!

Dive into the excitement as UNH Women’s Swimming hosts the University of Vermont. Come support our student-athletes in this spirited meet at the Swasey Pool!
UNH Men's Football, 1:00 PM* | Wildcat Stadium
Join the roar of the crowd at Wildcat Stadium as UNH Football faces off against Monmouth University! A classic fall Saturday filled with school spirit, big plays, and unforgettable memories. Tickets can be purchased through UNH Athletics
Pumpkin Painting, 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM | MUB Granite State Room
A UNH Family favorite! You and your student can paint wooden pumpkins that can be brought home or hung on the door of your residence hall room.

Wildcat Social, 4:00pm - 6:00pm* | Holloway Commons- Piscataqua Room
Connect, relax, and celebrate with your student during Family Weekend! Join us for a casual drop-in event where families and students can enjoy time together, meet others in the UNH community, and take part in games, activities, and live entertainment. Hors d'oeuvres will be served, and beer and wine will be available for guests 21 and older.

Sunday, October 18
Farewell Brunch, 9:00am - 1:00pm | Holloway Commons (HoCo)
Wrap up the weekend with a relaxed brunch at Holloway Commons (HoCo) dining halls. Families can purchase meal tickets at the door ($12.25/person), or be swiped in by their student using a guest pass. Students are also welcome to use their own meal swipes.
UNH Women’s Soccer, 2:00pm | Wildcat Stadium
Close out Family Weekend with some Wildcat pride on the pitch! UNH Women’s Soccer takes on the University of Maine in what promises to be a competitive and spirited match.

Yes, we encourage everyone to register. Registration helps us keep you informed about the schedule and provides you with a small UNH gift.
Most Family Weekend events are free! However, if you wish to attend the Wildcat Social (see schedule above), Men's Football, or Men's Hockey games, you will need to purchase tickets in advance.
No, Family Weekend is open to the parents and families of all students, not just those new to UNH.
Family Weekend will proceed rain or shine. Please check the weather and plan accordingly. Any schedule changes due to rain will be posted online.
No. Tickets to any Athletic events including the Football game and Tailgating must be purchased through Athletics.
Visitors are encouraged to park in B Lot beginning at 6:00 PM on Friday.
Campus will be busy throughout the weekend, so we recommend reviewing the UNH Campus Map to explore additional parking options in case B Lot reaches capacity.
- Alumni Lot is available until 3:00 PM on Saturday, but will be closed after that time.
- Metered lots are open and available for use at their designated fee. (Designated in blue on the Campus Map)
Please note: Tailgating parking is separate from general campus parking. If you purchased tailgating tickets, refer to the information provided by UNH Athletics for specific instructions.
