Parent & Family Orientation Schedule

Parent & Family Schedule

Dates: June 11-12, June 15-16, June 22-23, June 25-26

DAY ONE

Check-In for Two-Day Participants
5pm – 6:30pm, Upper and Lower Quad 

Parent & Family Reception (optional) 
6pm – 7:30pm, Stillings Hall*
Join UNH faculty and staff for a special evening reception featuring a welcome from university leadership, hors d’oeuvres prepared by UNH Hospitality, and beverages available for purchase.
Tickets must be pre-purchased 10 days in advance.

*On June 11 this event will be held in the Memorial Union Strafford Room

DAY TWO 

Check-In for One Day Participants 
8:30am – 9am, Whittemore Center Lobby

Welcome Program 
9am – 9:45am, Whittemore Center Arena 
Begin your day with a welcome from New Student and Family Programs and university leadership. 

Supporting Student Success 
10am– 11am, Granite State Room- MUB 
Prepare to navigate your student’s first-year experience alongside them by hearing from members of UNH's Student Life Division. 

Lunch 
11am– 12pm, Holloway Commons
Enjoy lunch in UNH’s award winning dining hall, free to all guests. 

Student Panel 
12pm – 12:45pm, Granite State Room- MUB 
Ask current students about their experiences in college and how they have found success at UNH. 

Academic Welcome 
1pm – 2pm, Various Academic Buildings
Academic Division Associate Deans discuss academic opportunities, support, and expectations.

Dining Services 
2:15pm – 2:45pm, Granite State Room- MUB 
Hear from representatives from Dining about meal plans, places to eat on campus, and how they support students with dietary /allergy restrictions. 

Student Financial Services 
2:45pm – 3:30pm, Granite State Room- MUB 
Learn about financial aid, billing, payment options, scholarships and loans. 

Drop-In Time for Parents & Families 
3:30pm – 4:30pm, Various Locations

Become the Roar 
4:30pm – 5pm, Thompson Hall Arches 
Cheer on your student during a beloved UNH tradition as they walk under the Thompson Hall Arches and officially become a Wildcat!
