Honors in Major
Ambition creates opportunity.
Most majors at UNH offer Honors in Major for students who want to go above and beyond standard major requirements.
Students who complete these requirements receive an Honors in Major designation on their transcript and diploma (in addition to University Honors, if completed).
Honors in Major programs are administered by their departments (not the Honors College), but in many cases fulfilling Honors in Major requirements can also earn Honors Units.

Paul College no longer offers Honors in Major programs. Students who entered UNH before Fall 2024 can choose to complete Interdisciplinary Honors, while students entering in and after Fall 2024 should follow the Honors College curriculum. Contact: Drew Patrick, Paul College 201
Honors in Major without University Honors
Honors in Major may be completed by any student with a qualifying GPA (see major-specific requirements above); membership in the Honors College is not required.
