At a hackathon/ideathon, small established teams brainstorm to solve problems and then share their solutions with the other competing teams. It’s a contest and the best ideas win. Oh, and you have fun along the way! Open to UNH students only.

The Kane Company wants to make their office park a top location where young professionals (including UNH grads!) want to work. What would you add or renovate? Ideas can range from events, experiences, services, products, design, architecture, art, buildings, amenities, and more! INCLUDES BUS TOUR to Portsmouth to see what is currently at the office park and understand the opportunities. FREE DINNER, REDBULL, SNACKS, & BREAKFAST!

Hackathon: Blockchain

Hackathon: Blockchain is being coordinated by the UNH Cryptocurrancy student organization and the UNH ECenter. The event sponsor is LBRY. The hackathon is centered around improving LBRY's product and protocol.

About the Event

LBRY is coming to the University of New Hampshire’s Peter T. Paul Entrepreneurship Center (ECenter) for UNH's first Blockchain Hackathon! Interested in blockchain, cryptocurrencies, P2P transactions, and technology? Sign up today to compete in our two day event. $4,000 in prizes is up for grabs for the winning teams - $2000 in cash and $2000 in cryptocurrency. Each participants walks away with crypto! No prior experience is required, but it is expected for you to bring a problem-solving mindset, your curiosity, and a willingness to learn (and your laptop and phone).

The event will take place from 4:00pm on October 19th until 1:00pm on October 20th. You are free to come and go out of the building throughout this time. Dinner and breakfast will be provided.

You are encouraged to form teams of up to four members. If you do not have a team on the day of the event, you will have time to be paired with others on Friday afternoon.

LBRY is a free, open, and community-run digital marketplace where users own their own data and control the network. It was founded in 2015 in Manchester, NH and has received venture funding from Pillar Companies. Hollywood films, college lessons, amazing streamers, and more are on the first media network ruled by you.
