We all face unanticipated challenges during our lives. Sometimes these challenges for students include fundamental issues of food insecurity, housing and other financial concerns. UNH has multiple resources that can help.
Housing

The Inn Between is available to UNH students to pay for housing during Thanksgiving, Spring Break and January Term. UNH also provides emergency support for undergraduate and graduate students experiencing emergency housing loss. To apply for the Inn Between Fund or receive help with urgent housing loss, contact the Dean of Students at dean.students@unh.edu.

Swipe it Forward
Swipe it Forward is a program for UNH undergraduate and graduate students who are challenged by food insecurity to confidentially request and receive meal swipes in the dining halls or as a Meal to Go. You must be currently enrolled to be considered and swipes are allotted once per academic year.

Cats' Cupboard
UNH Cats' Cupboard, located in the MUB, helps alleviate food insecurity for the UNH community in need by providing supplemental, direct access to free, nourishing food.
To be eligible for services you must be a current undergraduate or graduate student or employee at the University of New Hampshire. Please bring your current UNH ID card with you.
If possible, please bring your own re-usable bags for carrying items.

The Student Emergency Financial Assistance Fund (SEFA) provides UNH undergraduate and graduate students who are unable to meet essential expenses due to a temporary or unexpected hardship with short-term financial assistance once per academic year. Funds will be available until the fund is exhausted. Funding may be limited due to high demand, so apply early.

Laptop

The Loaner Laptop program at UNH helps undergraduate and graduate students who do not have the financial means to access or replace the technical resources required to learn and study. Students who are approved receive a Lenovo L14 laptop to be used during the academic year. To request a loaner laptop, please complete the Laptop Loaner Request Form
