Jade Chalkley started at UNH in January 2021 as Peer to Peer Coordinator for the Sustainability Institute. Prior to working at UNH, Jade worked for the University of Mississippi in the Sustainability Office and was part of many foundational programs and designations in 2019 including the university’s first STARS report and Bee Campus designation. Jade’s professional career also includes multiple sustainability roles as a student leader at her undergraduate campus Florida Gulf Coast University. Jade also worked for the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education(AASHE) during the pilot of their intern program in 2017. Jade has a B.A. in Environmental Studies with a minor in Interdisciplinary Studies as well as an M.A. in Higher Education and Student Personnel. These experiences brought her to UNH where she now serves as the Peer to Peer Coordinator. In this role, Jade works to connect all Peer to Peer programs hosted through the Sustainability Institute for students, faculty, and staff. These programs include Sustainability Institute Interns, SITC @ UNH, Changemaker Fellows, Sustainable Office, and more. Jade’s work is focused on mentoring these groups and connecting them with each other to expand the peer impact of these groups and develop the larger UNH sustainability education network.
