Take Action: Sustainability Learning
Community of Learning:
In spring 2021, more than 70 UNH staff and faculty participated in this new peer-to-peer outreach program to deepen understanding of social justice in the context of our regional food systems. Offered in partnership with the Office of Community, Equity and Diversity, this program aims to help our community understand and address structural racism, and environmental and social justice, which is critical to UNH’s embodiment of its values of sustainability and diversity.
Sustainable Office Program
Both professional development and a change making opportunity, participants become leaders in sustainability with support and guidance from the Sustainability Institute and serve as peer mentors to others in their office around sustainability. Enact changes around your office and make choices to support equitable, environmentally conscious, and socially responsible decisions around office culture, purchasing, training and operations.
NEW! Carbon Footprinting Certificate
Offered in partnership with UNH Professional Development and Training, our staff now offer a certificate program in carbon footprinting, which gives an understanding of basic greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting concepts, awareness of the tools and resources available, and will prepare you to tackle a GHG inventory for your school, organization, business or community. Open to all UNH faculty, staff and students, as well as representatives from the community.
Integrate Sustainability into Your Teaching
Offered in partnership with UNH's Center for Excellence and Innovation in Teaching & Learning (CEITL), two new offerings support faculty from across UNH in integrating sustainability concepts into any course curriculum.
