New Caplan Foundation Grant to Fund Parenting Website

Sibling dynamics are a common source of parental angst; many parents want help reducing and managing siblings’ conflict and aggressive behaviors. Unfortunately, this kind of information is rarely included in parenting books, podcasts, websites, parenting education courses, or considered by parenting social influencers.

SAARA's Director, Corinna Jenkins Tucker, and Assistant Director, Tanya Rouleau Whitworth, received a grant from the Caplan Foundation for Early Childhood to create a website for parents of 0-7-year-old children.

The website will be the first up-to-date, science-based website created by leading experts that is exclusively focused on helping parents and children manage sibling conflicts and develop positive sibling relationships. Intervention in early childhood to reduce aggression and improve socio-emotional skills in the context of sibling relationships is likely to have lifelong positive impacts on children and families.
