Below you will find details about this year’s Parent and Family Orientation,
as well as some links to pages we encourage you to explore.
All in-person attendees are required to have proof of one of the following:
a complete COVID-19 vaccination with last vaccination shot at least 14 days prior to orientation a negative
COVID-19 PCR test within 1 week* of their session
*Attendees with negative test results within 1 week will be permitted, however those outside the 72 hour window will be required to complete a temperature check and answer a series of questions at check in.

Check in for orientation at the Memorial Union Building. When you are done, explore our poster display introducing various aspects of student life at UNH!

Join the Associate Deans from the academic colleges to hear about new student opportunities, resources, and expectations. - 12 - 12:45 pm
Housing, Dining and Public Safety
Hamel Recreation Center, West Gym
Hear from UNH representatives about life on campus, including housing, dining and public safety. - 1 - 2:00 pm
Lunch
Holloway Commons
Enjoy a meal at Holloway Commons first-hand experience dining on campus (meal tickets- $11.45) - 2:10 - 3:00 pm
Student Panel
Hamel Recreation Center, West Gym
Ask current students any questions you have about the student experiences in a panel moderated by New Student Programs. - 3 - 4:00 pm
The Student Life Experience

Discover ways to navigate your students first year experience alongside them from various campus partners. - 4 - 5:30 pm
Explore Campus & Downtown Durham
Take a self-guided walking to around some of our favorite parts of campus. Tour guides will be located at various spots on your map to tell you more about UNH. Already know your way around campus? Check out downtown Durham or the surrounding area. - 5:30 - 6:15 pm
Dinner
Guests have the opportunity to return to Holloway Commons (Meal ticket- $12.42), or grab a bite downtown before celebrating their students at Become the Roar - 6:15 - 6:30 pm
Become the Roar
Thompson Hall
Cheer on your student at the UNH tradition of walking under the Thompson Hall Arch. In this moment students will “officially become UNH Wildcats!”
