Spotify Playlists

The Student Committee on Popular Entertainment (SCOPE) has been bringing live, nationally recognized entertainment to the students of UNH since the early 1970s.  The following playlists feature highlights of the artists that SCOPE has brought to campus each decade.  The songs selected were representative of the artists at the time they performed on campus.

(Please note you have to have a Spotify account to access these playlists - if you do not have one you can sign up for a free account).

Leadership Videos

Leadership is a process and not tied to official positions.  There is so much to learn from listening to others’ stories of leadership, especially when it challenges perceptions.  Below is a curated playlist of Leadership inspired TED Talks.  All of these talks came out in the past two years and would likely have been used as part of Leadership Camp 2021 if it were able to happen.

Brockets

This is a “March Madness” style music faceoff that was created by a local dad who had to become his children’s music teacher during the spring COVID shutdown.  The idea was to expose the students to “classic” artists but also incorporate contemporary artists.  The result was Brockets.  Over 6 weeks the pool of artists goes from 64, to 16, to 8 to 4 and then the finals – just like March Madness.  Students can participate on their own, or they can share their brackets on social media.

Brockets has an online community on Facebook and Twitter where students can meet their fellow Broketeers and debate whether Billie Eilish can beat Billy Joel in the first round and other controversial music topics.

For official rules and for links to the Brockets themselves please visit the Brockets website.

Thank you to Jeff Stern for creating Brockets and sharing it with all of us!
