CFAR offers free study strategy support to all UNH undergraduates. For help understanding your course content, your faculty and TA office hours are an important resource. They know what they expect you to learn and can answer your questions. If you need additional help, many academic departments and honor societies at UNH offer free tutoring. The Campus Resources link below provides information about these resources.
If you don’t find the support you need from these resources, CFAR may be able to help you find a private pay tutor. Stop in to talk to an Educational Counselor during our Drop-in hours at Smith Hall 201, Monday through Thursday, 11:00am to 3:00pm. The links below will also guide you through the process of finding your own private pay tutor.
Keep in mind that solid study skills are crucial to academic success. In some cases, learning a new approach to note-taking, active reading, or exam preparation can negate the need for hiring a subject area tutor.
You may be eligible for free content tutoring if you have high financial need. Check TRIO eligibility guidleines here.
