Members of the Office of Health Education and Promotion, Health Services are dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of the university community. We believe in living healthy, fulfilling lives through the connection of mind, body and spirit.

Our staff works with individuals in an affirming and positive way to educate and counsel students on the various components of the wellness wheel.

 

 

 

Educational Programs

 

Education/Counseling

Wellness Educators/Counselors are available to present health educational programs to students in a variety of settings, some of which include: residence halls, apartment complexes, classrooms, Greek houses, athletics, campus recreation and as part of curriculumn for professors and instructors of various academic deparatments.

All programs can be tailored to meet specific needs.

 

We provide confidential, individualized and short-term education/counseling sessions that focus on skill building and self-care in an effort to effect positive behavior change and help individuals reach their full potential.

We also speak to students who are concerned about a friend of family member's eating concern and/or alcohol or other drug use.

Meet Our Staff

Our staff is also available to speak with students who are concened about a friend or family member’s alcohol or other drug use or eating concern.

 

Our staff is comprised of wellness educators/counselors, a community health nurse, nutrition counselor, nutrition educator, massage therapists and administrative staff.
