UNH Survey Center: Republicans Lead in Generic Ballots for NH House and Senate

DURHAM, NH - Republicans are poised to regain control of both the New Hampshire House of Representatives and Senate in November.

These findings are based on the latest WMUR/UNH New Hampshire Election Poll,  conducted by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center. Seven hundred nine (709) randomly selected New Hampshire likely voters were interviewed by telephone between October 7 and October 12, 2010.  The margin of sampling error for the survey is +/- 3.7%

Celebration of Chinese Arts And Culture Oct. 26 Marks Opening Of State's Only Confucius Institute

DURHAM, N.H. - The University of New Hampshire will celebrate the opening of the state's only Confucius Institute Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. in the Strafford Room of the Memorial Union Building. The opening celebration which is free and open to the public, will welcome Chinese dignitaries and Chengdu University officials to campus with a presentation of Chinese arts and culture. The nonprofit educational institution, which will sponsor classes in Chinese language and culture, will be housed at UNH.

Transferring Ownership Via Installment Sales Is Focus of UNH Center for Family Business Event Nov. 10

DURHAM, N.H. - The use of installment sales to transfer ownership of a family business is the topic of the next meeting of the University of New Hampshire Center for Family Business.

"Financing the Transition of the Family Business Through the Installment Sale" will be held Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at New Hampshire Distributors, 65 Regional Way, Concord.
