The University of New Hampshire at Manchester is pleased to announce that Geneia President Heather Lavoie will deliver the keynote address at the college's 34th annual commencement ceremony on May 16, 2019.

Is it time to be an adult now? The most nerve-racking question that probably goes through most seniors' minds is, How am I going to pay off all of my student loans? The answer is quite simple—you can do it, especially with guidance from your loan servicers and the Financial Aid staff.

One of the challenges many college students face when they land their first job after graduation is how to put the skills they've learned to use in a real world setting. Students in the Mechanical Engineering Technology program at the University of New Hampshire at Manchester are getting an opportunity to make that transition a little early – and under the eye of a seasoned mentor – through the university’s internship program.

Ryan Buchanan ’18 is a fifth-generation service member and a first-generation college graduate—and now he’s giving back to his community in his first term as a State Representative.

Buchanan served four years in the Navy, joining right after graduating from high school in Virginia. After earning an associate degree in criminal justice, Buchanan and his wife found their way to New Hampshire to be closer to his family. He had started working towards his bachelor’s degree in Virginia, and he decided to continue that path at UNH Manchester

For Sinehan Kerman ’14, ‘18G, the relationship with UNH Manchester is a full-circle one. Kerman came to UNH Manchester as a business student, graduated as an employee and returned in 2018 as an adjunct instructor—in addition to her full-time role as digital marketing manager at J2 Interactive.

After starting her college career at the University of Missouri, Alysse Winkelmann '21 transferred to UNH Manchester to pursue a degree in neuropsychology. The sophomore dreams of a career in neurological disorder research or child therapy—but for now, she's sharing her passion for science with elementary school children in the UNH STEM Discovery Lab.

Angela Mastrogiacomo '10 has always dreamed of a career fueled by passion and creativity. So the Hudson, N.H. native decided to make her dream job herself.
