The Tri-state Greenhouse IPM Program is a collaboration among growers and specialists from ME, IPM graphicNH and VT. This year’s workshops offer sessions on diverse IPM tactics, including plant fertility, and pest and disease ID, as well as updates on current IPM issues and regional research activities.

The NH Agricultural Experiment Station will host a spring seminar series featuring distinguished researchers who will discuss various aspects of sustainable agriculture, with the first seminar set for Monday, March 6, 2017. The seminars are free and open to the public, and will be held from 1:10 to 2 p.m. in James Hall, Room 46.

Gardeners preparing to plant their fruits and vegetables have a number of new summer squash, melon and pumpkins to choose from this year that were developed at the NH Agricultural Experiment Station at the University of New Hampshire by a researcher who represents the longest continuous squash and pumpkin breeding program in North America.

The event, which will be held as part of the UNH Spring Greenhouse Open House, runs from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. It is free and open to the public.

Researchers with the NH Agricultural Experiment Station at the University of New Hampshire will discuss the potential of CRISPR technology to revolutionize the field of biology and genetic engineering, and its ethical implications at the next Science Café New Hampshire in Concord.
