Leah James ‘25

Changemaker Fellow
Leah James Headshot

Leah was a first-year student majoring in Neuroscience and Behavior. Previously, Leah participated in Youth Court, YoungLife, and Mock Trial, managed basketball, and volunteered at an animal shelter. Through these experiences, Leah developed a passion for helping others in various forms. The summer going into her senior year, her dad had a stroke. This event led her to research the science behind a stroke to help better understand her dad’s condition. As a result, she discovered the field of neuroscience and how it can be applied to her passion of helping others. On campus, Leah was a Changemaker Fellow as well as a member of Cru. She decided to become a Changemaker Fellow so that she could have a greater impact and change in the community. As a Changemaker Fellow, Leah was looking forward to working with other people who share a passion for change in sustainability and to having a positive impact on others.
