Lauren was a freshman studying Marine, Estuarine, and Freshwater Biology, as well as completing a dual major in Sustainability. In high school, she worked as a Live Blue Ambassador volunteer for the New England Aquarium. She also created a pilot composting program for her high school and was president of the Environmental Club. Lauren was a School the World volunteer in Guatemala and Panama where she helped build schools for indigenous communities. Her passions are protecting oceans, quality education, community service, and responsible consumption. On campus, she was a Changemaker Fellow as well as a Sustainability Advocate for Hunter Hall. In the 2020 fall semester, she planned a bag painting social that helped educate her hall about reducing waste throughout campus. What Lauren liked most about being a sustainability advocate is collaborating with other Sustainability Advocates to brainstorm new ways to make UNH more sustainable.
