Lauren Mcdowel ‘24


Lauren was a freshman Marine, Estuarine, and Freshwater Biology major with a Sustainability dual major. In high school, she worked as a Live Blue Ambassador volunteer for the New England Aquarium. She also created a pilot composting program for her high school and was president of the Environmental Club. Lauren was a School the World volunteer in Guatemala and Panama and helped build schools for indigenous communities. On campus, her passions were protecting oceans, quality education, community service, and responsible consumption. In the Changemaker Fellowship, Lauren is excited about being in a group of people with such similar interests and like-minded goals. She is also looking forward to the opportunity of participating in Semester in the City.
