Brent Powell

Brent Powell has recently joined the Community Changemaker Challenge Team as our Visiting Faculty Fellow. Brent was a longtime teacher and administrator at The Derryfield School, in Manchester, NH, where his students participated in the early years of the High School Social Venture Innovation Challenge. Currently Brent works at the Korda Institute for Teaching, a nonprofit that trains teachers in problem-based learning with a focus on community-based problem solving and entrepreneurship. As our faculty fellow, Brent will help with curriculum development and teacher training and support. He will also be leading a multi-year research project focused on the learning that emerges from the Changemaker Challenge as part of his education doctorate program at Northeastern University.
