Private swim lessons are available for adults or children that need individual attention, have special needs, learn better in a one-on-one environment, or have unique scheduling needs.
Private lessons are 30 minutes in length and can be purchased in one of these options:
You will select the block option after clicking the "Enroll Now/Add to Cart" button within the registration block on the right (click the '+' sign to open the block). We recommend adding the lessons to your cart first, which will bring you through the Log In and registration process.
Private lessons must take place during LAP and LAP/OPEN swim pool hours (primarily afternoons and weekends) and are held at the UNH Swasey Indoor Pool in the UNH Field House.
Once the online registration is submitted and paid, an instructor will be assigned who will work with the student/parent directly to determine the lesson days and times. Our goal is to contact the student/parent within one week of registration submission.
Please refer to our Online Registration Instructions, especially if you are enrolling more than one child. Each child must have an individual account and the enrollments done separately within each account.
Semi-private lessons (with 2 participants) are also available.
You will be asked to indicate a swim level during the registration process. Consult the Swim Level Chart if needed.
NOTE: Lessons that are purchased now and throughout the spring MUST BE completed prior to the summer transition schedule (May 16). Please take this into consideration when registering for lessons.
Payment is required at the time of registration and refunds will not be issued.
Swim lessons do not include admission to the pool for family members.
