IOL HighTech Bound Internship

The UNH IOL (InterOperability Lab) HighTech Bound Internship is a five-week, paid summer internship designed for rising high school seniors to gain real-world and hands-on experience working with the latest technology. The program is designed for students interested in pursuing a future in technology.

This program requires an application and students must be admitted into the program before completing registration on this site. Do not enroll here unless you have received notification from the IOL Internship staff.

The program is held on the Durham campus in the IOL's 32,000 square foot networking facility. Students can stay overnight or can commute daily.

2024 HighTech Bound Dates: July 8 - Aug 8*

*Overnight students arrive on Sunday, July 7 and can depart on Thursday, August 8 or Friday, August 9 by 10am.

Housing and Dining Options

For student's staying overnight, a housing and dining option must be chosen and paid for when completing this registration step.

Commuting students may also choose a dining option. All of the following options will be available to choose from in the shopping cart.

Housing Options:

Housing is provided in Adams Tower West, located a 5 min walk to the IOL. Students must bring their own linens. There are no fridges in the rooms, but there are at the IOL. Overnight students may choose between 32 nights (arrive July 7 - depart Aug 8) or 33 nights (arrive July 7 - depart Aug 9) and can choose to stay in a single or double room.

  • Single Room ($42/night):
    • 32 nights = $1,344
    • 33 nights = $1,386
  • Double Room ($38/night):

    • 33 nights = $1,254

  • 50 meal swipe cards: $523
  • 75 meal swipe cards: $749
  • 100 meal swipe cards: $949

Click the '+' on the block on the right to complete the registration process only after notification of admission into the program.

Details regarding drop off locations, times, and other information are sent via email from program staff to enrolled participants prior to the session start date. Please be sure the email address provided is that of a parent/legal guardian, not the participating student.

Online Registration Instructions: please review before enrolling for the best outcome. Family Accounts are recommended for enrolling multiple children from one family in any UNH Youth Program. If you already have an account in our system, you will be asked to log into either a Family or Student Account. Be sure you know which type of account you have and know your username and password. Email youth.programs@unh.edu if you require assistance recovering your account information. Do not create a new account if you have one already.??

If you don't have an account already, you can set up an account at any time. Accounts must be made in the name of the participating student. When you create a new account, the email address provided in the profile should be that of a parent/legal guardian, not the participating student.??

CampDoc: UNH has partnered with CampDoc to quicken the enrollment process. Enrollments and payments will still be done here through our current enrollment system, but no registration questions will be required at that time. Within a few days of enrolling, the email provided in the Student/Family Account will receive an email prompting completion of the registration questions.??

It is important that a parent/guardian respond to the CampDoc email and complete the registration questions promptly. Families who enrolled a child through our current enrollment system in 2023 will likely already have a CampDoc account. A parent/guardian still needs to log into the student’s account and complete any necessary questions for this program/year. A participant’s CampDoc profile must be 100% complete before they can attend the program.?

For more information, review our CampDoc page.
