Finding 400 Seats

On June 11, for the first time since the Civil War, the NH House of Representatives met outside of the State House, holding its session at UNH’s Whittemore Center, one of the few places large enough to host the 400 members while allowing safe social distancing.

NHPR: How to Conduct a Census During a Global Pandemic

Kenneth Johnson, professor of sociology and the senior demographer at the Carsey School, recently joined Ken Gallager, principle planner and coordinator for the State Data Center at the NH Office of Strategic Initiatives, and Jeff Behler, regional director of the U.S. Census Bureau, on New Hampshire Public Radio to discuss the history of the U.S. Census and how Census officials are proceeding during the global pandemic.
