Dear Fellow Wildcats,
We were saddened to learn that a member of our university family died in a skiing accident last week. This is heartbreaking, and we grieve with Ben Bennett’s family, classmates, friends and everyone who knew him.
A junior majoring in neuroscience and behavior, Ben transferred to UNH in fall 2022. Passionate about the medical field, he worked at Portsmouth Regional Hospital while pursuing his degree.

You may be experiencing many feelings, including grief. Please know you are not alone. Student Life staff are reaching out to members of our community who were known to be close to Ben, and support is available to everyone in our community. Students seeking support should contact Psychological and Counseling Services at (603) 862-2090. Help is available 24/7. Faculty and staff may contact the  Employee Assistance Program (EAP) directly (also 24/7) at (800) 424-1749.
Our thoughts are with you and Ben’s family. They have asked us to share that a service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 25 at 7 p.m. at Crossroads Church in Pelham, New Hampshire.
