Honors Thesis Support Group

Our senior Honors students have the opportunity to enjoy critical support from Honors faculty and a small group of peers as they hone their Honors theses.

Bi-weekly meetings allow thesis-writers to exchange ideas, set goals, work through obstacles, and maintain a productive pace for thesis success. Some of the most important benefits students point to are:

  • developing the skill of framing your thesis for people outside your immediate area of specialization – often the most challenging part of the process
  • accountability (it’s great to have a group of people to check in with regularly about where you are in your work)
  • getting to know fellow students in different majors and discover unsuspected opportunities, from future professional networks, to present friendships, to connections to your own work that would never had presented themselves otherwise
