The Honors Unit Dynamic Dashboard (HUDD) is the tracking platform for Honors College requirements. When you log in to the HUDD, you will be able to:
- See your progress toward Honors requirements
- Find and register for Gateway Experiences
- See your completed and in-progress Honors Courses
- Browse, favorite, add, and mark complete Cocurricular Experiences
It is important to make sure the information in the HUDD is accurate as it is used to determine Priority Standing in the Honors College. Any Honors courses you take will be automatically added to the HUDD, but all other experiences need to be manually added. Please see below for instructions for updating the HUDD.
When you log in to the HUDD, you will see a "Track Progress" bar that shows completed Honors Units in dark blue and in-progress/active Honors Units in light blue. You need a total of 32 Honors Units to graduate with University Honors.
To the right of the progress bar, the Completed Experience Summary shows how many Honors Units you have completed in each of the required categories (Gateway, Cocurricular Experiences, Honors Courses, and Culminating Experiences).
The Active Experiences list shows courses in progress and experiences that you have added, but not yet certified as complete.
Click on "My Gateways" in the left menu. You will see a list of any Gateways you have completed. You need a total of 4 Gateway Experiences.
From the "My Gateways" page, click on the "Add Gateways" button to see a list of Gateways for the semester. Note that some Gateways have multiple meetings and satisfy multiple Gateway Experiences. To register for a Gateway, click on the checkbox to the left of the title, then click "Add Selected." You will be registered for the Gateway.
Once you have registered, a spot will be held for you in the Gateway and your attendance is expected. If you cannot attend, you must return to the "My Gateways" page and click "Remove." Non-attendance at Gateways for which you have registered can result in a loss of Priority Standing in the Honors College.
Click on "Browse Experiences" in the left menu. If you have already browsed and favorited experiences, you can start with the "Favorited Experiences" link instead.
Find the experience you will be completing. You can type in keywords in the search bar, or filter by Category or Tags.
Click on the Experience name and click the "Add to my Experiences" button. Fill in required fields and optional notes to the best of your knowledge. These can be adjusted at the Completion stage.
For "Advisor," enter the email of the person who will directly supervise you in this experience, and will be able to certify the number of hours you complete. Please note the following exceptions:
- If the experience will appear on your transcript (i.e. INCO course, UNH study abroad experience, Innovation Scholars, etc.) put Honors.College@unh.edu.
- If you are unsure who the correct supervisor/certifier, put Honors.College@unh.edu.
If the supervisor/certifier is not a UNH instructor or staff member, put Honors.College@unh.edu.
In some cases (for example, research experiences), the advisor will be automatically contacted to confirm that they will be supervising this experience.
Once any necessary approvals are received, the experience will be added to your Active list and show as in-progress in your progress tracker.
First, check to make sure that the experience you want to complete is not on the Cocurricular Experiences list. If it is, follow the instructions for "Add a Cocurricular Experience to your Active list," which is a quicker and simpler process than proposing a new experience. For example, any research you are doing with UNH faculty can be submitted under "Research with UNH Faculty," and should not be submitted through the proposal process.
To propose an experience to count for Honors Units that is not currently approved (not on the pre-approved Browse Experiences list):
- In the HUDD, Select "My Proposals" in the Navigation menu on the left.
- Select "Submit New Proposal"
- Describe the experience you are proposing. Be sure to include:
- What the experience will involve.
- How many hours you will be committing to the experience.
- Whether the experience fulfills any UNH degree requirements.
- Who will supervise/certify your experience.
- Fill in estimates for number of working hours and start/stop dates.
- List the supervisor/certifier of the experience.
- If the experience will appear on your transcript (i.e. INCO course, UNH study abroad experience, Innovation Scholars, etc.) put Honors.College@unh.edu as the supervisor.
- If you are unsure who the correct supervisor/certifier, put Honors.College@unh.edu as the supervisor.
- If the supervisor/certifier is not a UNH instructor or staff member, put Honors.College@unh.edu as the supervisor.
- Otherwise, list the specific individual who will supervise/certify the experience and they will be automatically contacted to approve once you submit the proposal.
- Hit "Submit.
- Proposals will be reviewed by the Honors College Curriculum and you will be notified with a decision. If the experience is approved, it will be automatically added to your Active list. You will still need to certify the experience as complete once it is finished.
If you have a completed an experience that is currently listed as "In Progress" on the HUDD:
- Select "My Experiences" in the navigation menu.
- Find the "In Progress" experience you want to certify as complete and select it.
- Review the experience description.
- In the Notes field, put any relevant information (a change in the originally planned dates, a change in the number of hours, etc.)
- Confirm that the person listed in the "Advisor" section is still the right person to approve/certify the completion. If the listed person is not the correct approver or you are unsure who the correct approver should be, email Honors.College@unh.edu for clarification and/or to change the designated approver. Once you hear back, then continue with certification process.
- If all information is correct, hit "Apply Changes."
