Vicarious Trauma

Vicarious trauma refers to the unique, negative, and cumulative impact of hearing about - or seeing the effects of - traumatic events experienced by others. The impact of vicarious trauma can be physical, neurological, emotional, mental, cognitive, sexual, and/or spiritual.
