Camp Wildcat - Extended Care

Camp Wildcat: Extended Care Swim Lessons - Summer 2026

Extended Care is only available to students enrolled in the corresponding session of Camp Wildcat or Camp Wildcat 2.0. Space is limited - enroll early to guarantee your spot.

Campus Recreation offers group swim lessons as an extended care option for students enrolled in Camp Wildcat or Camp Wildcat 2.0 for the same week. Enrolled campers will be provided a snack and be walked to the UNH Outdoor Pool for group lessons.  Lessons will run from 4:50-5:25pm. Parents/guardians must pick up their child(ren) no later than 5:45pm.

Weekly lesson structure:

• Monday-Thursday: Lessons will be formal instructional swim lessons following the American Red Cross Swim Curriculum.
• Friday: Fun Friday with swimming games that will still focus on skills, but in a fun, structured environment.

The Aquatics staff will manage the student swim levels internally to ensure the student is placed in the appropriate level. 

In the event of inclement weather during Monday-Thursday lessons, Fun Day will be a makeup of a fully instructional lesson.

All lessons are held at the UNH Outdoor Pool; no lessons are held at the Swasey Indoor Pool.

Detailed information is sent via email from program staff to enrolled participants prior to the session start date. Please be sure the email address provided is that of a parent/legal guardian, not the participating student.

To request a drop from a Youth Program, contact the Program Manager (info below). Please include the full name of the participant and clearly state the camp and session(s) to be dropped. No refunds are provided for Extended Care.
