Mason Burke has always loved a good adventure, and now he gets to share that love with others while building his career.
Burke graduated from the University of New Hampshire Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management, and minors in leadership studies and outdoor recreation management.
When Chris Rice '91 graduated from the University of New Hampshire, there weren't as many opportunities to interact with working professionals and build relationships before entering the workforce as there are today.
So, when Rice was asked to participate in the early years of the Peter T. Paul Financial Policy Center’s Finance Symposium, he jumped at the opportunity to share his experiences with fellow Wildcats.
Daisy Burns has developed a love for learning outside the classroom.
As an economics major with an option in public policy and sustainability at the UNH Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics and a sustainability dual major, Burns has taken advantage of many field experiences provided through The Changemaker Collaborative.
UNH research enhances SNAP, supporting NH's vulnerable communities through tailored nutrition education, fresh food access, and improved public health.
Shuili Du is not one to spend time reflecting on previous research. Her thoughts mostly center on what topics need exploring next.
Du’s enthusiasm and thirst for research were among the attributes that earned her the University of New Hampshire’s Excellence in Research Award.
Russell Miles didn’t become an award-winning teacher overnight. In fact, he’ll be the first to admit that it was a process.
“Initially I wasn’t a patient or understanding instructor. I would go into class thinking my course was the only thing students had going on in their lives,” Miles says. “Over time I became more empathetic. I kept my standards high, but I tried to become more understanding of the challenges students may be faced with beyond the classroom.”
Roger Grinde has learned a lot in his 30 years of teaching at the University of New Hampshire, but he has not grown complacent with that knowledge.
An associate professor of management science, Grinde recently earned the 2023 Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics Excellence in Teaching Award for Tenure Track Faculty.
Every year, a chosen few of UNH’s outstanding faculty members from each college and school receive Faculty Excellence Awards in recognition of their achievements in teaching, scholarship and service. University-wide awards recognize public service, research, teaching and engagement. The 2023 award recipients include:
UNH held its annual Homecoming celebration Oct. 13-15, as alumni and families returned to campus and students turned out enthusiastically for three days of festivities that included a variety of sporting events, college-specific get-togethers, music, food, art and much more. Check out some of the highlights from this year's event.
