Associate Professor of Marketing Goksel Yalcinkaya came to UNH in 2007 and immediately began to assume a critical role in the educational missions of Paul College’s undergraduate and MBA programs. In his first year at UNH, he developed an upper-level elective, Marketing Strategy, which he has refined and improved each semester – earning perfect evaluations in both the spring of 2011 and the fall of 2012.
In 2010, Yalcinkaya took over the teaching of most of the MBA level core marketing courses. By 2011, he was teaching graduate level courses in both Durham and Manchester and earning glowing marks on both campuses. He is also engaging with online teaching and became one of the early team members of the college’s online MBA program, developing an elective course called Marketing Analytics.
Yalcinkaya has earned a reputation for teaching difficult material and rising up to whatever teaching challenge he may face. This particular skill comes through in the way he manages a complex classroom discussion in this year’s Faculty Excellence tribute to his teaching.
